Have you ever tried the In Living Color challenge at Scrap Matters? I love it because there are no other guidelines aside from the colors, and yet it still helps me to think outside the box a little bit!
This month's challenge is a bit different than usual. Instead of choosing specific colors, the challenge is to use analogous colors on the color wheel. Analogous colors are the colors that are right next to each other on the color wheel. For example:
Red, orange and yellow.
{If you want a bit more in-depth view of the color wheel you can go HERE.}
Still a bit stumped? I thought it would be fun to show you some of Sarah's kits that would be perfect for this challenge!
Spunky Monkey uses purple, brown (which is desaturated red), and orange:
Tough Boy uses blue and teal:
Memories of You uses blue and green:
Story Time uses lots of red and orange:
Here's the page I made for the challenge, using Spunky Monkey and Sarah's new All Wrapped Up bubble wrap elements.
Now for the fun part! I've made my layout into a template and if you complete this challenge and link your page here in the comments, you can have it! You must have at least one Designs by Sarah Bennett item somewhere on your layout. You may use a whole kit or just one element, it can be a freebie or store bought... doesn't matter! You have until next Friday (April 16th) to leave a comment with a link to your layout.
I can't wait to see your pages!
P.S. You don't have to post your layout at Scrap Matters in the challenge thread there, although you can get points towards free stuff if you do! :)
